Hi sorry I've been away for a while ...but I'm back now with something of interest to those ladies that wear nail polish.
In years gone by, we used to put anything on our fingers and toes. Nail varnish is the 'old fashioned' way of calling your nail polish as we know it today. The older way also contained some very harsh chemical's.. and some may still have these in them today. You think ''oh it's only going on my nails not my skin, but these chemical's can seep into your nails and nails bed causing you grief.
Like nail fungus which is very hard to get rid of. Discolouration of your nails, and of course weakening your nails.
That's why you should always wear a base coat, too protect your nails in more ways than the obvious like being protected from staining your nails, and some chemicals!
These harmful chemical's are what preserve the polish. And they sometimes use one of them on dead people, I think maybe as a preservative, sorry but they do! Formaldehyde is a known chemical they use and yes it's in nail varnish or polish. The other one to watch out for is not good to breath in, especially if you have asthma, this goes under the name of Toluene, it's used as a thinner for the polish. And it may go on the nails smoother but if it's thinned with this chemical, it will need about 3/4 coats. Usually cheaper polishes have this. Although you can get good cheaper polishes too!
So always use polish in a well ventilated area. They give off fumes that are flammable, never smoke or use naked flame near nail polish the fumes are in the air and can ignight.
More next time and about that ebook I am writing for you all, with the fist chapter for free...because it's a long ebook that has taken months to write, I decided to charge for it but don't worry it will be affordable and informative and have you looking great!
see you next time. Thanks for reading.
take care
Veronica
